New Food Label?
A food label with more than just nutrition information, but info on water use and farming practices to fair trade.
I've seen this concept before (I don't remember where, maybe in Michael Pollan's book)...I think it's the next-best thing to buying our food directly from the farmers. I believe at least one country in Europe has already implemented a version of it.

Mercy Corps' Action Center to End World Hunger
There's a reason for everything and I think the reason I never signed up for the Peace Corps or Teach for America or any of those is because I hadn't yet learned about Mercy Corps. And unlike the UN's World Food Programme, Mercy Corps is dedicated to helping stop hunger in the first place, not just feeding hungry people. And there is going to be a brand-new Action Center To End World Hunger in NY this fall! Check it out: www.actioncenter.org
